# Icewind Dale Lorekeeper — Terms of Service **Last updated: 22 October 2026** ## 1. About the service Icewind Dale Lorekeeper ("the Bot") is a privately operated Discord application designed to answer questions about a Dungeons & Dragons campaign using campaign notes and locally hosted artificial intelligence. The Bot is provided free of charge for use by authorised members of participating Discord servers. ## 2. Acceptable use By using the Bot, you agree to: - Follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. - Use the Bot for legitimate campaign-related questions and activities. - Avoid deliberately overloading, abusing or disrupting the service. - Avoid submitting passwords, financial details or other sensitive personal information. - Respect the privacy of other players and the confidentiality of campaign information. The operator may restrict access where necessary to protect the Bot or its users. ## 3. AI-generated information The Bot uses artificial intelligence to interpret campaign notes and generate responses. Although it attempts to provide accurate information and identify supporting sources, responses may contain errors, omissions or incorrect interpretations. The original campaign records and the Dungeon Master's decisions take precedence over AI-generated answers. ## 4. Availability The Bot operates on privately maintained hardware and is provided on an as-available basis. Availability, performance and functionality are not guaranteed. The service may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance, upgrades or technical failures. The operator may change, suspend or discontinue the service. ## 5. Campaign content Campaign notes, characters, stories and other materials remain the property of their respective creators or rights holders. The Bot does not grant users ownership of campaign materials or permission to redistribute them outside their intended audience. The Bot is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast, Discord or OpenAI. ## 6. Privacy Use of the Bot involves processing Discord interaction information and submitted questions to generate answers. Please read the accompanying Privacy Policy for details. ## 7. Responsibility The Bot is provided for recreational and informational purposes. The operator makes reasonable efforts to maintain the service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free responses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. ## 8. Changes These Terms may be updated as the service develops.
