> [!NOTE] Summary > A service is held in [[Bryn Shander]] to remember those lost to the [[Eternal Winter]]. The [[IWD Party]] speak to a few npcs and buy some mounts. Travelling to towards [[Karkolohk]] we duel [[goliath sister warriors]] then are visited at night by [[Aeorthelia]] [[Session 25]] ended with the defeat of [[Lisan]] on the Astral Plane. [[Caelum]] finds out about his ancestry. The [[IWD Party]] gets offered some new jobs, more on [[Duergar]] or new one on [[Goblins]] with [[Lost Gem]] still another in progress major quest. The [[IWD Party]] had a week of downtime. ##### Session starts at [[Bryn Shander]] [[Freida]] talks to the rest of the [[IWD Party]]. [[Freida]] tells us about the [[The Harpers]] and helping them by infiltrating the [[Zhentarim]]. Positive news, they might be able to get stuff via a black market. [[Freida]] tells us [[Oarus Masthew]] is still alive but hidden away. ##### Service to Remember Those Lost At [[House of the Morning Lord]]. There are many allies here including [[Imdra Arlaggath]], [[Devusa Shane]], [[Copper Knobberknocker]] and [[Tarin]]. Most of the [[Speakers]] are here. [[Danneth Waylen]], [[Devusa Shane]], [[Crannoc Siever]], [[Nimsy Huddle]], [[Naerth Maxildanarr]], [[Edgar Ironspike]], [[Vernon Braig]] There are speeches made by [[Copper Knobberknocker]] and [[Tarin]]. [[Tarin]] mentions the courage of [[Olivia]] and fighting the [[Children of Auril]]. [[Caelum]] is asked to speak, and does well persuading the people to fight the evil, stand together. [[Naerth Maxildanarr]] expression is unreadable but does not seem aligned with everyone. He is suspected by [[Freida]] of being in the [[Zhentarim]]. [[Pleic Holdir]] does well intimidating the crowd that the [[Sacrifices]] are bad he will personally come for you if you allow them. Afterwards the [[IWD Party]] mingle with the crowd. [[Caelum]] approaches [[Velynne Harpell]], he offers to share the location of [[Secret Location of Dzaan]] if she shares anything she finds. [[Velynne Harpell]] appears very old and frail. [[Dropu Layyouflat]] tells [[Pleic Holdir]] he needs to find the [[Lost Gem]]. He cant just ask the [[White Dragon]] for it, he needs a plan. [[Phenrere]] speaks with [[Perilou Fishfinger]] about [[Deneir]]. His whole being is about knowledge but it does not have to all be about writing and note taking. [[Perilou Fishfinger]] believes [[Auril]] is on the material plane as she could not cause the [[Eternal Winter]] otherwise. [[Deneir]] must have a plan and [[Phenrere]] is his vessel. It is probably linked to knowledge, maybe how to stop the [[Eternal Winter]] or where it can be stopped. We head to the townhall to speak to [[markham southwell]] about the [[Goblins]]. He does not trust the [[Goblins]] but we would need proof that they can help or the head of their leader. We discuss the best route with him. It is around 3 days travel or it would be 2 days with mounts (dogs or axebeak). We invest in 4 dogs and an axebeak and spend a day getting acquainted with them. We leave early the next day towards [[Karkolohk]]. [[Caelum]] is on watch through [[Dragon]] but dozes off. We see two [[goliath sister warriors]] (map location O5). The goliath warriors are sisters from [[Wyrmdoom Crag]], east of here (map location N16). Named [[Toula]] and [[Astrid]] The goliath warriors have been out looking for a good fight and seem interested in challenging [[Pleic Holdir]]. They mention [[Sky Tower Shelter]]. [[Pleic Holdir]] agrees to duel one of them in a magic circle which prevents death. [[Pleic Holdir]] easily defeats the goliath warrior. The goliath will be at map location R8 in 10 days if we want help with [[Sunblight]]. The [[IWD Party]] camp with the [[goliath sister warriors]] that night. During the night when [[Pleic Holdir]] and [[Freida]] are on watch, [[Freida]] spots a raven flying towards the camp. [[Freida]] hits her with an arrow and she changes in to an older elven woman. It is [[Aeorthelia]] her grandmother. [[Aeorthelia]] has come to speak with [[Freida]]. [[Aeorthelia]] is ok with the [[Eternal Winter]] as it stops more people coming to this area and disrupting the heritage of the elves. [[Freida]] argues that the group is special even though they are temporary, like a tree or flower. [[Aeorthelia]] wants to know the motivations of the party members and questions each of us. [[Aeorthelia]] talks supportive words about [[Auril]]. [[Aeorthelia]] turns back into a raven and flies away. End of session. [[Freida]] on journal duty. Date: 07-Tarsakh-1498
