Magical fish hook killed by gnolls, we know the location, the [[Cackling Chasm]], it is SE of [[Easthaven]]. Nabira Moarskull, an Easthaven fisher, owned an enchanted fishhook that could catch magical fish. While she and her friends were out on the ice one day, a pair of filthy gnolls attacked them. They killed her friends, Morris and Davide and stole her fishing pole and hook. Hunters from Easthaven tracked the gnolls to an icy rift in the ground but were too scared to go farther. Lattar joined the scouts. ##### First camp Nature seems unusual. We try and move out the area. [[Phenrere]] guides us through the terrain, moving out of the area we avoid whatever caused the problem. Nothing happens overnight. We notice some ravens in the morning and [[Phenrere]] casts talk with animals. The ravens are working, they say watching. We are being followed, we set up an ambush, it's a crag cat and two frost druids We kill one, the other flees with the crag cat. We find an amber brooch with an insect inside worth 5gp. ##### Cackling Chasm Large fissure in the ground, sound of many creatures laughing like a hyena echoes up from below. [[Phenrere]] recognises the symbols as Gnolls who are a mix of demon and hyena. The first area we come across 4 underfed gnolls.
