> [!NOTE] Summary The group rescues the halfling from Yetis. She is the only other survivor, a priest of [[Deneir]], she recognises the tattoos on [[Rintario]] and [[Phenrere]]. We have some downtime and learn more. [[Session 8]] ended with the group finding [[Garret Velryn]] on his own on [[Kelvin's Cairn]] in [[Rescue Garret]], he wants to help the rest of his group. ##### Conversation with Garret Freida used to be one of the [[Reghad]] tribe but her tribe is dead now. The wolf tribe is aggressive. The goliath thought he could meet a warrior at the top and test his metal against him, the halfling (priest) was romantically involved with the goliath. Tiefling was part of the party. Dont think part of the [[Black Swords]]. ##### Frozen Cave Footprints, around and some blood on the snow. Garret's group and yetis. There are heads in holes including dwarfs, and a yeti. Bones are on the ground. We find a great axe. ##### Yetis and the Halfling We come into a cave with a mother yeti and her young with the Halfling [[Perilou Fishfinger]]. (God is [[Deneir]], god of knowledge). Recognises [[Rintario]] as a follower. [[Freida]] talks to the yeti, wants the yeti to give us the halfling. We swap [[Phenrere]] weasel familiar for [[Perilou Fishfinger]], she has full HP but 3 levels of exhaustion. She confirms there is a third yeti. We meet the father on the way out. Initiative! Caelum solos it apart from 2 HP. The mother stays with the young. We escape. The goliath is dead by yeti. ##### The Tiefling, Astrix Is found frozen stiff, dead. A leather bound [[Astrix Spell Book]] and a potion on invisibility. Could be sold to another wizard. Possibly something else could be done? She is found with a dead headless dwarf. He has a miners pick, empty wineskin and 1/2 eaten block of cheese. We bury her at Base Camp and leave the dwarf. ##### Reached the Top Achievement We get advantage on next wisdom check. ##### Caer-Konig We get back at 9pm and stay at [[The Northern Lights]] run by two sisters. [[Caelum]] dreams of climbing a mountain, and gets to a small ledge. [[Dreams - underground city]] [[Rintario]] dreams of a dark void, floating. He sees a burning circle far away at the edge of his vision. "You have been a good soldier, but you havent found out anything about the dwarves. I will give you a gift to help, many are interested in the dwarves" he gets a new feat.[[Dwarven Knowledge]] ##### Downtime We are exhausted and need to take down time. We sell some stuff from party inventory and everyone gets 10 gp and meal/room paid for the 5 days. [[Pleic Holdir]] - helps with odd jobs - success Rumour - the children said one of the [[The Northern Lights]] workers is a bit strange, only a few times, doesnt laugh and avoids people and 15gp in payment. [[Freida]] - researches the unstrung elven longbow. It's non-magical, made by the elves. Elves were dominated in the north and had a second stronghold in the spine of the world called the ~~Rintario~~ "severed hand", they would trade with the dwarves. No-one knows for sure but the elves fell from power. Maybe the dwarves, drow, infernal or the gods in the north. [[Denier Tattoos]] She thinks maybe [[Deneir]] led her here but she is sombre when she learns you do not know of him. She thinks you may be some of his descendants. Could it be cultists or [[The Arcane Brotherhood]]. [[Crystal Thefts]] An old fishermen says he saw a huge bird fly over [[Lac Dinneshere]]. [[White Dragon]]?
