> [!NOTE] Summary Lots of travel and chatting, making allies, no-one throws a rock. [[Freida]] and [[Rintario]] roll some epic checks to identify [[Mystery Illness]]. The dreams are getting worse. [[Session 6]] ended with the group slaying [[Sephek Kalto]] the [[Ice Knife Killer]] and the local [[LonelyWood]] militia running in. ##### In [[LonelyWood]] [[Captain Vernon]] of the militia questions the party and they provide some background to the attack. [[Phenrere]] wants a decent burial for [[Sephek Kalto]]. A large amount of the town is mobilised into a militia. We talk to [[Nimsy Huddle]] She says [[Devusa Shane]] and [[Imdra Arlaggath]] and [[Danneth Waylen]] are allies in the fight against [[Children of Auril]]. She doesnt think any [[Children of Auril]] are in [[LonelyWood]] She suggests helping the people of [[Ten Towns]] and try and turn the opinion against [[Auril]] and [[Children of Auril]]. She says there is a group of bards that could be recruited to help We cant openly fight [[Children of Auril]] as too many in the larger towns. In [[Bryn Shander]] they are short of iron. We get some halfling cookies. We intimidate [[Torrga Icevein]] and [[Freida]] persuades her to help us with information on [[Children of Auril]]. [[Sephek Kalto]] had a friend in [[Bryn Shander]], a scrawny little man who was one of [[Children of Auril]], called [[Bardin]] We leave town. ##### In [[Termalaine]]. [[Caelum]] and [[Phenrere]] dream of city under the ice [[Dreams - underground city]]. The scene changes and we feel ourselves falling through the air and we land into an icy lake and sink. We loose control and feel cold.... we wake, out clothes are wet, it's fresh water. [[Freida]] tells of her mirror dream about a woman and a castle, and us stopping the [[Eternal Winter]]. We update [[Oarus Masthew]] in [[Termalaine]] and get 1gp each. We wake 18-Ches-1498 ##### Travelling Then travel onward to [[Targos]], on the way we meet a wizard friend of [[Rintario]], [[Velynne Harpell]] she is travelling with some kobolds, some of which are undead, they were killed by [[Nass Lantomir]]. The kobolds seem very passive from normal. She asks after other colleagues/wizards, she is looking for [[Nass Lantomir]] who stole a [[Professor Orb]] from her. She is investigating ruins to the east. She warns us not to trust one of her colleagues [[Avarice]] that [[Rintario]] knows. ##### in [[Targos]] As we get close to [[Targos]] the halfling body is no longer on the stake but there are only footprints leading away, has the body risen and walked off by themselves. [[Sacrifices]] Telling [[Antori Wallow]] father of [[Karim Wallow]] that we have avenged his son we get a scrim in shape of a whale worth 5gp. We go to find the speaker to see if there is anything we can do to help and influence the people of [[Targos]]. Speaker [[Naerth Maxildanarr]] is in [[The Luskan Arms]]. The folks in the inn seem very rough, much rougher than other towns. We are shown in to a room to see him. [[Naerth Maxildanarr]] is feeding some winged snakes in a cage a live mouse. He is with a heavily armoured tiefling [[Scaff]] the head of his militia. We offer our help but it feels like he doesnt trust us, he specifically doesn't look at [[Freida]] when he says there is no work [[A new speaker for Termalaine]]?, we tell him to send one of his winged snakes to find us if he needs help with anything in future. New quest [[Rescue Garret]] Upon leaving the inn we see a dog with a broken harness, [[Freida]] recognises the dog as [[Boy]] owner is a guide [[Garret Velryn]]. [[Phenrere]] casts speak with animals and the dog says his master is in trouble. We follow the dog to a house, a man, [[Keegan]] opens the door and says why is [[Boy]] here come in, something must have happened to [[Garret Velryn]]. [[Keegan]] is husband of [[Garret Velryn]] who came from a wealthy family loves to climb, was hired by adventures to climb [[Kelvin's Cairn]]. [[Keegan]] is a scrimshander and offers some of his work and free accommodation in [[The Luskan Arms]] as he knows the owner. Go to [[Frozen Far Expedition]] in [[Caer-Konig]] they may have gear belonging to [[Garret Velryn]] [[Boy]] tells us a big thing with fur attacked. [[Freida]] imitates a Yeti and [[Boy]] says that is what attacked. ##### Travelling On the way to [[Bryn Shander]] [[Rintario]] gets a magical message from [[Dzaan Odesseiron]] "Ronny, have you succeeded? For Caelum’s mother, I have some books sequestered that can be helpful." Replies "We have dealt with the likely culprit, had a similar shaped sword, will reach easthaven in couple more days" From [[Dzaan Odesseiron]] "Glad you are not as inept as you look. I’ll be in Easthaven for a tenday starting tomorrow." ##### In [[Bryn Shander]] We go visit mum while in [[Bryn Shander]] There is a gnome there as well as per my vision, [[Copper Knobberknocker]] [[Olivia]] is suffering from a fever now. During conversation, [[Auril]] is named as a lesser deity and must have stepped into our world to have so much influence but it makes them vulnerable. The head of the gods may punish those who over step. [[Mishann]] is pleased with our help and will speak in her sermons of the fight against the cold and dark. [[Olivia]] feels cold to the touch. [[Freida]] does medicine check. She can consume food/water, in a coma, not a normal virus, seems magical. [[Rintario]] successful arcana, some kind of divine magic and most or all of her soul has left the body . [[Rintario]] successful religion, her soul is in the astral plane, to heal her the soul needs to be brought back and a lesser or greater restoration spell is required. The "sickness" is most likely caused by a follower of [[Auril]]. [[Rintario]] tries using his [[Mind Flayer Crystal]] to talk to her but doesnt get a reply. [[Mishann]] tells us some allies [[Devusa Shane]], [[Danneth Waylen]], [[Imdra Arlaggath]], [[Tarin]], [[Trovus]] (although drunkard) In [[Caer-Dineval]] the speaker has been missing for a while and strange going ons. [[Rintario]] and [[Phenrere]] dream of [[Dreams - underground city]] they are walking on a slope and caught by an avalanche, they wake they still feel their mouth is full of snow.
