During downtime, Imdra Arlaggath, the militia captain of Easthaven comes over personally to hand you the following letter _To the adventurers known as heroes of Bremen, Lonelywood, Termelaine, Caer-Konig, Caer-Dineval and Easthaven: the Travelling Party of Pleic_ _Know that your achievements in the last while has reached our ears. Truly, without you, the days in the Ten-Towns would have been even darker than they are._ _Due to your valiant efforts we send you this letter to beseech your aid._ _The Children of Auril must be stopped._ _We know Captain Arlaggath has already informed you of our stance towards this cult, this letter is meant to reinforce that stance - it has become a pressing issue. We have also learned of your party's recent interest in the cult._ _The cultists have become more aggressive and we are afraid they might seek to take more direct control over the Ten-Towns. Their support is such that we cannot take direct action towards them._ _Neither can you, without angering the populace, making it impossible to travel in the towns. However, with this letter we sanction you to covertly (heavily underlined) use whatever force is necessary to achieve the following aims:_
_Find the Children of Auril's main headquarters._
_Apprehend, or if necessary, kill their leader._
_We suspect that the local chapter heads are directed by a powerful servant of Auril. Such a creature will be dangerous, but we suspect taking that chess piece out of the equation will severely weaken the cult. Any effort you can provide to steel the populace against the hopelessness proffered by the cult will also advance our cause. Your heroic deeds the last while has already been a vital beacon of hope._ _Our spies has informed us that the leaders in Easthaven, Axel, leaves Easthaven after the monthly barbaric sacrifice has been completed. The cult leader in Bryn Shander is a human woman called Katherine. We suspect that the cultists report back to headquarters after undertaking their selection. Perhaps this information can help you find them._ _We are happy to reward you a total of 300 gold pieces for the completion of this task. Additionally, we have learned that the cult might be responsible for the strange sickness inflicting a family member of the local hero, Caelum Thorne. By confronting the cult, perhaps a way to undo this sickness can be unveiled?_ _Good luck heroes._ _Signed,_ _Devusa Shane_ _Speaker, Bryn Shander_ _Danneth Waylen_ _Speaker, Easthaven_
The letter is written by an elegant hand (you can suspect Devusa Shane is the author). Moments after reading the letter it dissolves into dust. The next session will start on the morning of Tarsakh 1, the day of selection.
